What this is
MenuComply is an experimental market-test tool exploring whether restaurants want self-serve SB-68 allergen-disclosure software. It is not a finished commercial product and may change or be discontinued at any time.
What we collect
- Email address — to create your account and sign you in (managed by Amazon Cognito).
- A password — stored and hashed by Amazon Cognito; we never see it.
- Menu content you enter or upload — to generate allergen suggestions and outputs.
- Limited technical data — your IP address, used only to prevent abuse (rate limiting and per-IP signup limits).
- Messages you send us via the contact form, and an optional reply email.
We do not collect your name, company, address, or phone number.
Why we collect it
Solely to operate the tool: authenticate you, generate allergen suggestions, prevent abuse, and respond to messages you send. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.
Retention
Unsaved work in the demo is automatically deleted within about 24 hours. Account data is retained while your account exists. Because this is a market test, all data may be deleted if the service is discontinued. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time using the contact form.
Your California privacy rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request its deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, use the in-app contact form and we will respond.
Important disclaimer
MenuComply provides AI-generated suggestions you must verify. It is a convenience tool, not an authority on allergen safety or legal compliance, and provides no legal advice. The restaurant is solely responsible for the accuracy of its allergen disclosures.
